Project Flashlight
by Neal Strickberger
Project Flashlight is about interactive light at a grand scale! The joy of light. Pure, incredibly bright white beams, like fingers of God in the night sky. Participant controlled with a tablet. The searchlights are 1.2 billion candlepower military battlefield illuminators, formerly used by NASA to illuminate Apollo and Space Shuttle launches. Project Flashlight reanimated 1960s technology, added motors and computer controls, all for the sake of art!

Burning Man “Now and Then”
by Stuart Cheshire
130-foot 360° panoramic print of Burning Man in the year 2000. This art was displayed at Burning Man 2025, celebrating the 25th anniversary of when the pictures were taken. At unSCruz 2026 the panorama is displayed indoors, in the room at the far south end of the fairgrounds, past the Rainbow Trike Track, across from Snarkle Farkers.

Fireball Shooting Gallery
Art
Fireball Shooting Gallery
by A Stahler
The Fireball Shooting Gallery has the look and feel of an old-school carnival shooting booth, but with the "firepower" and noise that Burners desire. Participants approach the booth and stand behind one of two mounted cannons where they personally load, charge and fire the cannon at a variety of moving and stationary targets. Each person can shoot up to three tennis balls if the line is long, or more if there isn't a wait.
Trust
Art
Trust
by Paige Tashner
Trust is a circle of 4 large, metal, cat sculptures with their butts and tails in the air, buttholes facing inward. Each butthole is decorated differently - disco, talking, games, uv-reactive, etc. When a cat shows you her butt, she absolutely trusts you. She's like, "Here! You're my human and I feel good about it." And it’s funny! Meeting new people, experiencing new things can be intimidating and overwhelming. Trust provides comic relief to help people let down their guard and, hopefully, feel safe to trust themselves and other people they encounter within the ring of cats.

Commune
Art
Commune
by Jim Cortez
The heart of Commune is a masterfully crafted table for eight, where technology and artistry intertwine. Intricate LED patterns dance beneath its surface, while a mysterious spherical centerpiece pulses with light, casting ever-changing patterns across the faces of those gathered. Above, a sculptural chandelier and beacon reach toward the stars, their light flowing through eight graceful metal pillars that support a protective canopy. Each place setting, permanently affixed to the table, stands ready for a feast that exists only in imagination.

Aqua Glow Lounge is an immersive underwater sanctuary where art, sustainability, and mysticism converge. Step into a dreamlike seascape illuminated by soft, shifting light—glowing jellyfish drift crafted from repurposed Weber barbecue grills and delicate strands of recycled CPAP tubing, transformed into something otherworldly. Fiber optic jellies ripple through the space like bioluminescent currents, creating a calming, ambient glow that feels both futuristic and ancient. Come get a merman tarot card reading—intuitive sessions that blend storytelling, symbolism, and a touch of oceanic enchantment. Aqua Glow Lounge isn’t just an installation—it’s a sensory escape, a meditation space, and a celebration of wonder.

Phando Blades
by Joe Andolina
This project is a 360° kinetic light sculpture that hypnotizes with imagery suspended in midair. Five 40-inch persistence-of-vision LED "blades" spin light into holographic video, turning empty space into a living canvas. Every frame is crafted specifically for this piece, ranging from serene minimalism to mind-bending intensity, unfolding on a two-hour loop that rewards wandering and repeat looks. Budget willing, future iterations will support interactive graphics.

A 20-foot dome of redwood branches. A carved heart of Shakti cradled in lotus petals below. The Eye of Shiva hanging at the apex above. Between them, participants enter the space of Shiva-Shakti. The meeting of pure consciousness and pure power that generated Love as the first creative act. Inside: 432hz instruments for unstructured play, scheduled sound baths, and an invitation to silence. This is a space without words, leave them outside the door and bring your presence. The dome does not represent a sacred space. It is one.
The Spoon House 2.3
Art
The Spoon House 2.3
by Julia Dvorin
The Spoon House 2.3 is an update and expansion of last year's The Spoon House 2.1 installation (it evolves each time it is installed). The core of the installation is still a 20'x10', 2-room structure where the "walls" and "roof" are made from approximately 5000 spoons arranged in free-hanging strands of spoons of various types. Two “spoondeliers” hang from the ceiling of the structure, and a variety of spoon-decorated furniture and "spoonstruments" inside both rooms welcomes visitors to sit, rest, contemplate, converse and play. An interactive journal and pens found inside the house provide prompts for reflection. Outside the house, there is an interactive spoon “mailbox” where people can leave and take positive messages and small gift items. New items for this year: a “reading corner” inside the house with a spoon-decorated chair, footstool, lamp, plants and bookshelf with Spoon Theory related books, and a garden "Spergola" with additional seating, spoon plants, spoondelier and lamp.

Trash Panda Portal Part Deux
Trash Panda Portal Part Deux is the giant dumpster at P4 with two giant raccoons who came in through the portal from another dimension. Inside the dumpster is their living room aka den. There is a playlist of raccoon themed songs in the background. The raccoon’s names are Crispy and Crunchy, not coincidentally, the sound they make if somebody climbs or puts too much weight on them, as they are a bit fragile in earth’s atmosphere. Hope you put on your woodland creature best and trash mob Trash Panda Portal, your favorite dumpster!
